2011 South Carolina Gamecocks Softball Preview

The South Carolina Gamecocks finished the 2010 season with a disappointing record of 11-40, with SEC play at 1-27.

Beverly Smith, the new head coach for the 2011 season, hopes to turn this record around and restore the team back to their winning tradition. There are 13 players returning to the team, along with 10 newcomers and 4 freshmen. Smith hopes that this combination of established talent and new athletes brings a more successful record for South Carolina softball in 2011.
