Georgia started out slow, but later got into a rythym. The Auburn Tigers played a tough game, did not resent, kept on scoring. Auburn is now 8-15, 1-8 in conference play. Georgia is 16-6, 5-4 in conference play. Kenny Gabriel had 11 points for Auburn but wasn't enough. Travis Leslie had 20 points for Georgia, and Trey Thompkins with 16 points.
With this Bulldog win, it will improve their chance for a NCAA tournament bid. They needed this win and got it. The next few games will be a challenged for Georgia. They play Xavier on Tuesday in Athens, then travel to Tennessee, Florida. This is a great win for the Bulldogs, for a team that only won 14 games last year, they are a much better team.
