2020 SEC Football Schedule

Better late than never. We finally have the new 2020 Southeastern Conference (SEC) football schedule. You can see it here:

The schedule was thrown into choas when most of college football decided not to play this year due to the Covid-19 virus. It appears only the SEC, ACC and Big 12 will be playing football this season. Those are the three major BCS conferences located in the South and Southeast. Where football is best and matters most.

2020 SEC Football Schedule

The SEC (like the other two conferences) decided to only schedule in-conference games during the regular season. Every school had all of their non-conference games wiped out (like Tenn v Oklahoma) and two additional SEC games added to their schedule. So, now each school is playing 10 SEC games with one open date.

So, it'll be a really unique season with a lot of in-conference games that we don't often get to see. That's the good part.

The bad part is, by definition, the SEC overall will have as many wins as losses and nobody will have any non-conference patsy's on their schedule.

Which brings us to a little controversy over which two teams were added to each schedule. Apparently some of the SEC football coaches were upset that the selection process for the two additional teams was not transparent and arguably Alabama, LSU and Georgia benefitted by having weaker teams added to their schedule than other schools had. Of course that's quite debatable as there really are no easy teams in the SEC.

But, for sure the "powers that be" in the conference had motivation to try to make the path clearer for the top dogs in the conference. That way they should have a better record and be more competitive for theĀ 2021 College Football Playoffs, which are still scheduled.

It's still unclear if fans will attend the games although that seems unlikely at this point. If you too bored, you can probably place a wager on whether fans will get to attend any games this season at onlinecasinosnoop. Already tailgating has been canceled everywhere except for Ole Miss who hasn't decided yet. Nothing like The Grove before a football game. So awesome. Then again, contracting the coronovirus -- not awesome. So, we'll see.

One thing for sure is this will be an SEC football season like no other. And, we'll just have to make the best of it. Hey, could be worse. At least they are playing!
