LSU Defense Crushes Ohio State QB Todd Boeckmann
It's January 9th and LSU has "earned" and been crowned the National Champions.
Here's what a few of the "experts" said prior to the game:
• TIM MAY - The Columbus Dispatch
Ohio State 27-21: Speed wasn't the issue last year, the will to win was, and this OSU team will find a way.
• ROB OLLER - The Columbus Dispatch
Ohio State 24-23: Buckeyes ride the underdog train to a nail-biting finish as Tress tops Les in the dome.
• BILL RABINOWITZ - The Columbus Dispatch
Ohio State 30-27: LSU has more talent, but a couple of Tigers mistakes/coaching decisions tip the scales to the Buckeyes.
• DOM TIBERI - WBNS-TV (Channel 10)
Ohio State 24-17: Jim Tressel proves he is the best coach in the country.
• BRUCE HOOLEY - WBNS 1460 The Fan
Ohio State 27-23: Ohio State defense makes a play at the end with LSU driving. A Donald Washington interception closes it out.
• JASON LLOYD - Lorain Morning Journal
Ohio State 31-27. Todd Boeckman will be the difference.
• JERROD SMALLEY - WCMH-TV (Channel 4)
Ohio State 31-24: Three hundred and sixty-five days of being beaten down and ridiculed nationally is too much. OSU's motivation is bigger than LSU's motivation.
• JIM DAY - Fox Sports Ohio
Ohio State 28-26: This year, Alex Boone's tears are tears of joy.
• JEFF DUNCAN - The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune
Ohio State 30-20: Buckeyes are sick and tired of hearing about the SEC.
• CHRIS DUFRESNE - Los Angeles Times
Ohio State 28-24: Call me crazy, but …
• TEDDY GREENSTEIN - Chicago Tribune
Ohio State, 27-24: LSU has slightly better personnel, but you will never find a more motivated group than these Buckeyes.
• HERB GOULD - Chicago Sun-Times
Ohio State 24-21. You take the devil you know, and in this game it's better to be the underdog.
