Is SEC Championship Game THE National Championship Game?

Seems like it to me. I don't think we've ever had two undefeated teams playing in the SEC Football Championship Game. Much less the teams ranked #1 and #2 in the nation.
It's really amazing. Not sure any conference has ever had a game as huge as this one.
And this is not just any conference. The SEC has won the past 3 National Championships and 4 of the past 6. The SEC dominates modern college football. And these are two of the best SEC football teams ever. The winner will be considered perhaps the best SEC football team ever.
Effectively the winner will be recognized as the best team in the country -- probably even if they were to lose the BCS Championship Game.
The other amazing thing is that 2 of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy are also facing off in this game. Tim Tebow, Florida QB and Mark Ingram, Alabama RB.
So, this game could well decide college football's national champion as well as the Heisman Trophy.
Personally, I think Alabama is a stronger team top to bottom. But, I think Florida has a slightly better defense and of course has Tim Tebow. It's hard to picture TT walking off the field having lost the last SEC game he played in.
So, the biggest game of the college football year is December 5th at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. I wouldn't bet against either Florida or Alabama.
